How You Can Help Philanthropically
Richard and Pat Aschieris began sending philanthropic gifts to Memorial Medical Center Foundation when they were very young, just starting a family. To express their friendship and sympathy to friends who lost loved ones, Pat says, “At that time, we couldn’t afford to buy flowers, so we decided to make a donation to the hospital instead. We received such a wonderful response that it became our way of honoring a friend or family member.”

She adds, “We used to give sporadically, but since my husband passed away, I now give all the time—on his birthday, our anniversary, during the holidays, and on the date of his passing. I think it’s just something you do for your community.”

An acknowledgement letter will be mailed to anyone you designate informing them of your thoughtfulness, and your gift will be recognized in one of our publications.

At holiday times, especially seasons of giving, let Memorial Medical Center Foundation send a special letter on your behalf stating that a thoughtful gift of health was made in the recipient's honor. For example, you might make a Valentine’s Day gift restricting your gift for the Memorial Heart & Vascular Institute.

Your annual gift of $1000, $100, $10, or any amount helps Long Beach Memorial and Miller Children’s meet the health care needs of your community.
