CSULB satellite campus at LBMMC/MCH
includes a recently completed health skills lab with “human” patient simulators that replicate adult, pediatric, and neonatal intensive care. This collaborative program utilizes master-degreed nurses from Long Beach Memorial and Miller Children’s in a year-round program which will enable CSULB to graduate an additional 108 nurses in the first year, thus helping to solve the critical shortage of nurses.
The simulators for this program is made possible through grants from the James Pott Family Endowment, the Phillip Pryne Family Endowment in Memorial Medical Center Foundation and the following in-kind equipment gifts from corporations: CR BARD, Cardinal Health, Diamond Drapery, Edwards Life Sciences, Herman Miller Workplace Resource, Hill-Rom, Phillips, United Hospital Supply and Zoll Medical.
